One of Southeast Asia’s Biggest Water Parks Is Now in Pampanga.
(Spot.ph) With more transportation options and the completion of more highways from Manila to Clark, it’s only a matter of time before the former air base becomes the next big recreation hub. At the forefront of this development is a 10-hectare water park called Aqua Planet that opened on February 24. Prior to this, 100 kids from different orphanages in Pampanga got a sneak peek of the facility on November 23.
Clark’s newest attraction can accommodate up to 3,500 guests daily to enjoy its38 state-of-the-art water facilities. Among the thrilling rides are the Spiral Slide which has four different slide routes; the Super Bowl, which has a four-person raft ride that starts from a large bowl-like enclosure before ending in a big splash; and the Octopus Racer, where sliders can speed down loops and tunnels. For the thrill-seekers, there’s the Aqua Loop which starts with a 100-meter free fall and a 360-degree loop that lets you slide down in a standing position. Surfers and board-sport lovers can test their skills on the Flow Rider, a world-class attraction that simulates a surf experience. There’s also a 375-meter Lazy River where you can just relax on a floater, the large dual-wave pool called the Boogie Bay, and a separate wave pool for kids.
